How I created my bible art journaling of Philippians.

A study in Philippians; To Live Is Christ
As I read this bible study I enjoyed using pens, washi tape, and my new paper tags that I made flip with bible verse on them.

This first page I made a bible art journal entry full of fun doodles and artwork. I made fun doodles circle the main verses that stuck out to me when I was reading.

The tag reads "...for I know that through your prayers and the help of the spirit of Jesus Christ bus I'll turn out for my deliverance, ...whatever by life or by death, for me to live is Christ and to die is gain." Philippians 1:19,20 ESV

The verses I wrote on the tag are paraphrased from the verses I encircled in the picture. Just a fun way to make it stand out and more than once. Also a good way to remember how I felt God speak to my heart in this journaling entry.
The flip side says;
"Do all things without grumbling or dispute, that you may be blameless and innocent children of God. Phil. 2:14,15
Again, just a fun way to incorporate bible verses that stuck out to me in my bible study or quiet time into my art journaling. And this verse is also encircled on the second page.
Notice at the top of the second page I have some fun notecards inserted from Heidi Swapp. My husband said my pages here look like my planner. Well it kind of does but it sure was fun doing it.
The very last page of my Philippian bible journal study includes Paul thanking the people. He thanked the women for their help in sharing the gospel. I enjoyed drawing these little ladies in pen and markers and coloring on the page with colored pencil. I also added some more Heidi Swapp notes on the page for fun. I included part of verse 4:3 to go along with the ladies I drew, "bless these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel." Phil. 4:3 (ESV)
In the center I cut my own paper to fit perfect for three cutouts and to add additional bible verses and more color to my entry.

These verses read;

1. "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength." Phil. 4:13

2. "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit Amen" Phil. 4:23

3. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:19

I hope my bible art journing inspires you to design and creste entires for your journaling! Be blessed! ❤️

Friendship

This particular bible study was interesting because it ties together friendship and relationships as well as our freedom in Christ. It is nice that we are free to worship and we don't have to perform strange and long drawn out rituals like the Israelites used to.

As we know the Israelites had to perform many rituals and do many different things to worship God. They had to go before God each month and present themselves as a clean sacrifice at the new moon celebration each month. So many rules to follow and things to do. I'm so glad it's simple now. Thank you God for Jesus, our pure sacrifice that we can live forever. And we don't have to perform long and strange rituals like the Israelites had to do. Thank you Jesus! At the beginning of every month the Israelites gathered to celebrate the new moon festival. At this festival they came clean to represent themselves clean and new on the inside. (Because all people are dirty and unclean and it's because of our savior we are now spotless.) this was a time to celebrate, a time to be enjoyed, a time to dedicate to God and worship Him. It was a time to dedicate the next month to God. Only God was to be worshiped.

Because Jonathan was David's friend he covered for David and told his father David went to be with his family during the time of worship. However, David was hiding and waiting to hear from his friend. Jonathan, son to the king was loyal to David, Israel's future king, chosen by God. Jonathan told David to wait for a signal, rather his father meant him harm.

"I will shoot three arrows to the side of it [Stone Ezel] as though shooting at a target."

..."but if I say to the boy 'Look the arrows are beyond you, then you must go, because the Lord has sent you away.'

David did escape the king and was later king of Israel. Jonathan was a loyal friend. Because of his loyalty David showed favor for Jonathan's son letting him live with him later. God will use a good hearted person to do good. Be a good friend to someone else today. Seek Godly friends. God made us to fellowship with one another. For where more than one of us are together we are stronger and God will grow our Godly friendships.

Maybe you have good friends and maybe you wish you had a good friend like Jonathan. How many times do you wish we had a good friend? Do you have a friend as loyal as Jonathan? Maybe you can be a friend to someone else.

•Are you a loyal friend? Be loyal and faithful to God. Others will see this quality and they will want to be like you. Loyalty looks especially good on people.

•If you are in step with God and His will for your life God will put all your relationships into perspective.

•Maybe you need a friend. God should be your first and most important relationship. He will send us friends. Make time for Him and put Him first and all other relationships will fall into place. He will send you loyal friends.

You will never go anywhere God is not.

You will never go anywhere God is not.

Isn't that comforting? To know that at each step in life, each season, and each struggle He is with us. He hasn't stepped out. He is with us! He loves us. Are you going through a difficult time? Is there something you need Gods help to get through? Sometimes the last thing we think to do is ask Him for help to get through it. Ask him for strength, endurance, peace, and whatever your heart desires. It is already within you with His Holy Spirit living in you. Ask for Him to strengthen what already exists. The best way we can find His strength is by hearing His word. Seek Him through His written word and prayer.

Isn't it encouraging to know He is with us all the time? In Psalm 139:7-10 David writes and asks God if there is anywhere he can run to get from God. The answer is no. Wherever we go, He is with us. He lives within us and we are not alone.

• God makes us successful.

• People like to see God in us. God makes us beautiful.

• The Lord God will bless our work for our sake, our home, our friends, our children, our families, our health, our finances, and our church. He is willing and He is able. The bible says you do not have because you do not ask.

• I want the blessing of the Lord on ALL that I have. How about you? You have the power to do great things. Ask and you shall receive.

• If you feel lost, lonely, or lacking in any way ask God for help. And seek Him through His written word. Then praise Him for what you have asked is finished in Jesus name. You are a child of a King and our Father wants great things for you.

Give thanks to God. He is our Father, Abba, Daddy. He loves us with a love greater than any human love can comprehend. Because He is a pure God he loves with a pure love. His love never fails and it never gives up on us. Praise God! Give thanks to God! His love endures forever! Amen!
